As the Madness Spirals…

I think I’m slowly going mad. Not the kind of “no beer and not TV makes Homer something something” madness. More of a “boogity boogity boogity” kind of madness.

But I’m not that worried.

I mean, I think everyone goes through those periods where they dream only of smearing red paint on the seat of their pants and then going to a furniture store and accusing them of having exposed springs in their recliners.

…or going to the Humane Society with a paper bag, a copy of the Better Homes & Gardens New Cookbook in Korean, and ask for “enough terrier for a family of four.”

…or standing out in the free speech area on campus hoisting a massive sign proclaiming “Yea, the end times are near, and the Cardinal shall lay down with the Cub, and the Yankee with the Sock of Red” while being pelted by rotten fruit thrown by heathen Giants and A’s fans.

Yeah. Everyone has those thoughts. Right?

Right?
